Google’s Meet video conferencing is now free
SILICON VALLEY: Google has decided to give a tough time to
the popular Zoomsoftware as it has introduced the facility of hosting free
video conferences on Meet, the business-oriented version of search engine
giant’s Hangouts platform.
According to some reports, the company has announced the
development in order to compete with rival platforms including Zoom Video
Communications Inc, Microsoft Corp’s Skype and Facebook Inc’s Messenger.
Meet, the newer service of Google Hangouts that was launched
three years ago, reportedly has 100 million daily users and the company was now
trying to attract more to push all other video conferencing apps back.
