Instagram TV soon to let users upload Live Videos
CALIFORNIA: Video sharing platform Instagram has redesigned
its popular feature IGTV to allow users share live videos with their followers.
According to reports, the app decided to make modifications
in Instagram TV, adding more updated features to enable its users to discover
diverse content.
The users would be able to make a live video anytime and
share it on their profile with their followers. Instagram Live Video will stay
on user’s wall for 24 hours. For the purpose, the company is also going to
introduce a simple button.
Instagram had earlier removed the ‘Following’ feature from
the app that allowed users to see the activity of the people they’re following.
After this development, the Instagram users won’t be able to
see what other users like, or the photos and videos everyone is commenting on.
Instagram introduced this feature in 2011. It could be found
as a subcategory under the ‘Like’ menu, the heart-shaped icon at the bottom of
the screen when you open the app.
Some users reported the feature made them feel paranoid and
self-conscious because it felt as if others on the social media platform were
monitoring their activity closely.
Taking to Twitter, the head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri said
“We’re always trying to stay focused and keep Instagram simple.”
